Hi there, I’m George
I love creating beautifully layered interiors for busy professionals who appreciate thoughtful design over flashy trends. I'm all about blending contemporary pieces with your treasured antiques and unique finds - creating spaces that feel as interesting and well-travelled as you are.
A bit about me and the design-y things I love
Creating meaningful, practical and beautiful interiors is what I love to do. But it’s not just about what you see. The textures need to be engaging to the touch; the lighting and acoustics should be just right for the space and the functionality of the room should work with your lifestyle.
Heritage and history
I love working with spaces that have real character and history – perfect if you're someone who values timeless style over whatever's trending this season. Whether you're lucky enough to live in a heritage home or you've got some beautiful antiques you want to showcase, I love finding ways to honor those special pieces while making sure your space works for how you actually live today.
Thoughtful spacial planning
Open-plan living is great, but sometimes you need a cozy corner to actually relax in. I love carving out intimate little retreats within larger spaces – think of them as your personal sanctuary after those long work days. Whether you're in a compact apartment or a townhouse or a larger home, I'll help you create spots that feel both open and welcoming, spacious yet cozy. It's all about smart planning that works with your lifestyle.
Personality and wit
The best interiors aren't just pretty - they have personality and a touch of fun. I love working with the special things you've picked up on your travels or those family pieces that are special to you. These are the items that make people stop and ask about them, and they're what turn a beautifully designed space into a home that's unmistakably yours. They show you've got great taste and aren't afraid to include pieces that make you smile.
Details, details
Small details have big impact. Rooms should have an instant “ta-daa” but they should also have lasting impact. For me the lasting memories I have about a space usually relate to the smaller details – the texture of a rug, the beauty of your favourite chair, your favourite light and how it brightens up your room. When you use a room every day, it’s often these details that remain important – and they’re the details I love to focus on.
To me, interiors should be sophisticated without being stuffy, colourful without being chaotic, and personal without being precious.
